Dear Friends,

Greetings from the Independent Baptist Church in Belize City, Belize! We hope you enjoyed the Christmas time events with your families and church. Our events include an annual Christmas program from the Sunday school class on the Sunday before Christmas. Our attendance on that morning was 187, which is our second highest day in our almost three years of ministering in Belize City. More than the numbers, we were thrilled that five adults responded to the Gospel message and received Christ!

We finished 2014, with a Sunday morning average of 118, which is a growth of 32 from the year before. We praise God for the growth! Along with the numbers, we have witnessed the growth in the members of the church spiritually. We have two high school students preparing for Bible College this fall. The people are very responsive to the preaching of the Bible, and the result is obvious spiritual strength in their personal lives and families. I have been greatly encouraged.

I came into contact with a pastor from the little village of Midway in the far south of Belize. He is an independent Baptist pastor who is need of Bible training. It is a situation that I can drive down there on a Monday and teach for two days and return on Thursday for our regular midweek service. He has a few of the Sunday school teachers and preachers in training available for a class in Bibliology and a class on the Biblical home. Please pray for God to use our investment of time in the Toledo District of Belize.

We began our new year with an outreach theme of “God so loved the world.” Our anniversary Sunday is March 1, and we are praying for God to touch hearts and reach the lost through this special day. Our goal is to reach 300 in attendance. Each year our anniversary Sunday has become the biggest event of the year for outreach. We have people in our church that were reached through each of these last two anniversaries. Please pray for the special services. My father-in-law, Pastor Roger Voegtlin, will be
the special speaker, and we are looking forward to seeing God’s blessing from that day. Thank you for your prayers and continued support. We are praying for all of you. God bless.

Sincerely,
Don Whitecar
